Indian Airforce Exam Syllabus – Full Details

The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducts the Airmen 10+2 (X Group & Y Group) exam to recruit candidates for various posts such as airmen in the technical and non-technical trades. The IAF Airmen 10+2 (X Group & Y Group) exam is divided into two parts – the written test and the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

The written test is divided into three sections – English, Physics, and Mathematics. The English section tests the candidate’s ability to understand and analyze written text. The Physics and Mathematics sections test the candidate’s understanding of basic scientific and mathematical concepts.

The syllabus for the English section includes topics such as grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and error detection. The Physics section covers topics such as mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity, and magnetism. The Mathematics section includes topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and arithmetic.

The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is a crucial part of the selection process and is designed to test the candidate’s physical fitness and endurance. The PFT includes a 1.6 Km run, a pull-ups or chin-ups, and a balance test. Candidates must clear the PFT to be eligible for the next round of selection.

To prepare for the IAF Airmen 10+2 (X Group & Y Group) exam, candidates must focus on building their physical fitness and endurance. They should start by setting a daily routine that includes exercises such as running, cycling, swimming, and weight training. They should also practice the specific physical tests that are included in the PFT, such as running, pull-ups or chin-ups, and balance test.

    3. Antonyms and Synonyms
    4. One word substitution
    5. Articles, Prepositions, Adjectives-degrees of comparison, conjunctions, Nouns and Pronouns with numbers
    6. Words, which are commonly getting confused
    7. Word order
    8. Correct usage of Adverbs
  4. Idioms and Phrases
    1. Use of simple idioms
    2. Use of Common proverbs
  5. Direct/Indirect sentences : Narration change
    1. Change of various types of sentences from direct to indirect & from indirect to direct form
