Present Simple ( Indefinite ) Tense
जिस हिंदी वाक्य की क्रिया के अंत में ता हूँ / ती हूँ / ते हैं / ती हो / ते हो / ती हैं / ता हैं इत्यादि रहे , उस क्रिया का अनुवाद Present Indefinite Tense में होगा .
1 . Affirmative sentence –
structure – S + v1/v5 + O + other words.
1 . मैं पढता हूँ। – I read.
2 . हमलोग खाते हैं। – We eat.
3 . वह जाता है। – He goes.
4 . मेरा भाई खेलता हैं। – My brother plays.
5 . वे लोग दौड़ते हैं। – They run.
6 . अंशु हँसता हैं। – Anshu laughs.
7 . तुम गाते हो। – You sing.
8 . मेरे दोस्त लोग नाचते हैं। – My friends dance.
9 . मैं एक पुस्तक पढता हूँ। – I read a book.
10 . सूर्य पूरब में उगता है। – The sun rises in the east.
Rule-1 z, s, x, ss, ch, or sh से समाप्त होने वाली क्रियाओं को उनके अंत में –es लगाकर Singular बनाते हैं
I wash the car.
It washes the car.
She washes the car.
Ends with o
I go to school.
He goes to school.
She goes to school.
Rule-2 जब कोई क्रिया y से समाप्त होती है और इसके ठीक पहले कोई व्यंजक (Consonant) होता है तो ऐसी क्रिया को Singular बनाने के लिए y को i में बदलकर -es जोड़ते हैं
You try very hard.
He tries very hard.
She tries very hard.
2 . Negative sentence –
structure – S + do/does + not + v1 + O + other word.
1 . वह नहीं गाती है। – She does not sing.
2 . तुम स्कूल नहीं जाते हो। – You do not go to school.
3 . वह पटना में नहीं रहता हैं। – He does not live at Patna.
4 . तुम आम नहीं खाते हो। – You does not eat a mango.
5 . मैं नहीं वहाँ जाता हूँ। – I do not go there.
6 . राम नहीं पढ़ता हैं। – Ram does not read.
7 . वे लोग व्यायाम नहीं करते हैं। – They do not take exercise.
8 . आप यह काम नहीं करते हैं। – You do not do this work.
9 . मोहन मांस नहीं खाता है। – Mohan does not eat meat.
10 . सीता नहीं जाती है। – Sita does not go.
3 . Interrogative sentence –
structure – Do/Does + S + v1 + O + other word?
1 . क्या मैं हँसता हूँ ? – Do I laugh?
2 . क्या हमलोग दौड़ते है ? – Do we run?
3 . क्या गीता रोती है ? – Does Gita weep?
4 . क्या राम और श्याम पढ़ते हैं ? – Do Ram and Shyam read?
5 . क्या आप व्यायाम करते हैं ? – Do you take exercise?
6 . क्या वे लोग मुझे जानते हैं ? – Do they know me?
7 . क्या तुम रोज स्कूल जाते हो ? – Do you go to school everyday?
8 . क्या आप अंग्रेजी जानते हैं ? – Do you know English?
9 . क्या बच्चे दौड़ते है ? – Do the children run?
10 . क्या कुत्ते रात में भौंकते हैं ? – Do dogs bark at night?
ऊपर दिए गए सभी examples में आप not का प्रयोग करके भी बड़ी आसानी से ट्रांसलेशन बना सकते हैं अब हम interrogative sentence में नहीं (Not) का प्रयोग करने पर कुछ उदाहरण (examples) के बारे में नीचे जानते हैं।
1 . क्या आप रोशन को नहीं जानते हैं ? – Do you not know Roshan?
2 . क्या रीता अंग्रेजी नहीं जानती हैं ? – Does Rita not know English?
3 . क्या मैं प्रतिदिन नहीं टहलता हूँ ? – Do I not walk every day?
4 . क्या तुम भात नहीं खाते हो ? – Do you not eat rice?
5 . क्या आपके दोस्त लोग अंग्रेजी नहीं जानते है ? – Do your friends not know English?
Present indefinite का प्रयोग निम्न बातों को बताने के लिए किया जाता है:-
1. हम अपनी आदत को बताने के लिए । To show an action that happens regularly- This is mostly in terms of habits:
2.Here और there से शुरू होने वाले exclamatory Sentences में –
Here comes Sanchit, our most promising player!
There goes the last bus!
3.Newspaper के Headline में –
India defeat Argentina by two goals.
The prime minister inaugurates the annal trade fair.
4.Imperative Sentences में –
Go out and lock the door.
Switch off the lights, please.
5.Universal truth (सार्वभौमिक सत्य)
Cats hate water.
(बिल्लियाँ पानी से नफरत करती हैं।)
The earth goes around the sun.
(पृथ्वी सूर्य के चारों ओर घूमती है।)
Water boils at 100 0c.
6. कहानी या चुटकुला सुनाने के लिए ।
7. किसी वस्तु की दर या कीमत ।
8. किसी वाक्य में adverb/adverb phrase आ जाये
जैसे daily,always,everyday,every Monday, mostly, often, sometimes twice a year.
9. कुछ verb सामान्यतः present indefinite में ही परयोग किये जाते है
जैसे : be, believe, belong, contain , depend on , hate, like , love , need ,
10. निन्मलिखित temporal conjunction जैसे after, as soon as, until, when, if, till, unless, even if etc के बाद future Indefinite का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता |
a) He will stay here until he comes
b) We shall play cricket when the rain stops.
c) If he comes alone, I will not go.
